STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE -- Well, Republican Party nominee Sen. John MCCain has done it again -- had a severe attack of large foot-in-mouth.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The outrage over the John Edward's sexual dalliance has been, well, over the top. One would have thought he was the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for president.

• The wait for justice finally over for some
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- When Dr. Martin Luther King was asked "how long?" His reply, delivered on the steps of the State Capitol Building in Montgomery, Ala., after the harrowing, but successful march to Selma completed on March 25, 1965 -- was: "Not long."

• Young women catching political bug -- good!
STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE -- The presidential election has and will continue to dominate all news cycles. This is as it should be. However, there is other news, if not equally as important, falling into the category of "just as" to those who are truly concerned about the future -- not clinging to the past -- of this country and not its nasty partisan politics.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Michael Savage -- right-wing conservative hate-meister -- should be pink-slipped. Of course that is not going to happen. Hate sells and Savage, along with Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, have the top three-ranked radio shows in the country.
