STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- There was plenty of hard running, and the anticipation of a close finish, and suddenly, it was all over, with John Pollina and Terry Ballou scoring runaway victories at yesterday's seventh edition of Jeff's Run. The 5K race, which started and finished at Mount Loretto, attracted a large field under cloudy skies and cool weather.
